Defective Petco collar lets pit bull attack coach.
The custodian of the pit bull purchased an brand new Petco collar for the dog that was left in her custody. Petco's collar was made in China according to the label. The Petco collar's D-ring was not welded shut. Collars made in the USA have the D-ring welded shut. The pit bull was tied to a tree. When the coach arrived to pick up one of his players the dog pulled against the tree and straightened out the D-ring which released the dog. The coach was viciously attacked from behind but escaped into his car. The lawsuit was brought against Petco for selling a defective collar.
